Good evening Bobcats:

Varsity placed a “W” in the column to start off district play with a 34-14 win over Atlantic Coast. Way to go CATS!

Unfortunately, there was a mix up with our referee association last week for the JV Game against Eastside and the game was cancelled. Apologies from the from the association have been received.

This week, JV will travel to Santa Fe High School to take on the Raiders this Thursday 9-19-2019 at 6:00p. Please make the short drive to Alachua to support the team.

Varsity will travel to play non-district opponent Lake Brantley this Friday, 9-20-2019. The game kicks off at 7:30p. This game will replace the Ponte Vedra game that was cancelled due to Hurricane Dorian. Please see the following for information at the game, parking and tickets.

Varsity Football:
- From 434 take right at 2nd Light into the Booster Lot, players will drop off and park on the bus ramp
- Booster Parking Lot $10 – other areas free

Tickets- Tickets are $6. Tickets can be purchased on line; https://gofan.co/app/events/67982 or at the ticket gate beginning at 6 pm the day of the game. All individuals 6 years of age or younger will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Re-entry- There is no re-entry once you have entered a sporting event.
Passes- The following passes will be accepted for regular season games only.
• Seminole Co. Public School ID Badge – Bearer plus spouse (with picture ID)
• Visiting Team’s Faculty ID- Bearer plus spouse (with picture ID)
• Visiting team bus driver and managers will be admitted when properly identified and accompanied by a visiting coach. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted when accompanied by a coach.

Administrator Parking – Please send the names of the administrators that would like parking in the booster lot for no charge to Jerri_Kelly@scps.k12.fl.us by the day before our contest.

Buses- All visiting team and band buses will enter Lake Brantley at the entrance across from Forest City Elementary School on Sand Lake Road. We have a bus loop to drop off athletes and band members. The buses will be parked across the street at Forest City Elementary School during the game. Band equipment will be able to unload near our visitor gate into the stadium (south west corner of our stadium).

Prohibited Items- Back Packs, Bottles (glass), coolers, drinks without lids, alcoholic beverages, weapons, artificial noise makers, sticks, chains, illegal substances, laser pointers, clothing portraying vulgar language, fireworks, drones, aerosol cans, pets, pepper spray, and any item deemed to be considered contraband material by the administration/ Altamonte Springs Police to be dangerous or inappropriate.

Student Supervision- The visiting team students and staff on their side will be monitored by an LB administrator and your SRO/Security who will be on duty. The visiting team student’s should refrain from entering the Lake Brantley High School side unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or administrator and only to use the restroom facilities or the concession stand. Any incidents that occur on the Lake Brantley High School side should be reported to Lake Brantley High School personnel and or the Altamonte Springs Police Officer on duty.

Sportsmanship- Sportsmanship is an expectation of all Lake Brantley High School athletic events. Please refrain from any inappropriate behavior or language that could be offensive to guests, officials, staff personnel, or patrons of the game. Anything deemed inappropriate by Lake Brantley High School staff members could result in immediate dismissal from the athletic contest.

Hazardous Weather- Our administrators, athletic trainers, and coaches have access to Weather notifications and will receive the 8 mile lightning warning which indicates that it is time to get off of the field immediately. All student-athletes, band members, staff, and spectators must be moved to a safe location. The public address announcer will give instructions to evacuate the playing area and instruct spectators to go to their personal vehicle or to the gymnasium until the warning has been lifted. Student-athletes from both teams will report directly to their designated locker room area for shelter. Visiting Band members will be escorted to our cafeteria.

- We will utilize the 30 minute rule to determine when it is safe to resume the outdoor activity. This effort will be coordinated with your administrator on duty and head coach.
