IMPORTANT NEWs FROM BUCHHOLZ FOOTBALL

Posted by Carissa Clayton on Jun 02 2020 at 09:25AM PDT in 2020 Season

Hi Bobcat Families,

Hoping you are all staying safe and healthy. Today I received word from Coach Whittemore that Summer Workouts can begin starting with Phase 1 of National High School Football Guidelines. He wants to assure all parents that they will be doing at least the minimum required safety precautions including temperature checks, sanitation stations, etc.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3rd at 8am Varsity will begin workouts. Please have your player bring their forms if they have not yet turned them in including the EL3 and EL2 forms that you can find under documents on this website. They will also need to bring their own jug of water as the school cannot provide shared water bottles for the team. Coach is also asking that each payer bring face masks with them. Tell your player to check their HUDL account for more specific information from Coach Whittemore.

Rising 9th graders will start their summer workouts on June 8th at 6pm. Again please have your player bring their forms EL2, EL3 and for incoming freshman GA7. Also their own water jug and face mask.

All workouts will run Monday through Thursday. The Varsity team will NOT have a team camp in Valdosta this year from July 7-9. All overnight team camps have been cancelled. There may be a possibility of a one day FCA camp but that will be determined at a later date.

The team will still have the week before 4th of July off and right now that is the only scheduled off time as Coach Whittemore stated that the week before season may need to be utilized since we didn’t have a Spring to practice.

If you have not paid for summer workouts yet you can either pay through the website (Paypal) or send a check with your son on Wednesday or next Monday.

As we receive any more information we will let you know. Excited to be back!

Go Bobcats
