Dear Players and Parents,

We need your help to make our biggest fundraiser of the year a success.

Running an effective high school football program costs a lot of money. Funding from the school board and ticket sales help with most of the cost, but there are many needs that go unfunded without the generous support of our team’s friends and family. Later this month, our players will be making a video requesting financial support for our football program. We intend to email and text this video to as many potential donors as possible. The most effective email recipients are people you know well. Therefore, we need every player to submit 20 names and email addresses for friends and family they know well. Most of our players submitted 5 email addresses when coaches requested them during spring practice in May. Now we need 15 more.

The following web address is linked to an online form that allows you to submit 5 email addresses at a time. After you complete the form with 5 addresses, click “submit” and then go back to the form and keep submitting emails until you submit at least 20 emails.

In addition to helping their team, players can earn $50 for the following accomplishments: 1) submitting the most useable email addresses, 2) having the most email recipients who open the website link, or 3) having highest percentage email recipients who make a donation.

Earn some money and help your team have a successful 2019 football season.

All email addresses must be submitted no later than June 19th.

Summary of this past Monday's booster meeting

Thank you to the parents that attended the booster meeting this past Monday.

This is a quick note to bring everyone up to speed with the meeting and what will be happening over the next few weeks. Remember, we meet the first Monday of each month. The more parents involved, the better the results are for our players.

Our QB Coach, Coach Hockman will be putting on throwing clinics on Tuesday evenings at BHS. The location is the practice field located down behind the baseball fields. The clinic is for middle school and elementary players. Please pass the word.

Our team camp scheduled for June has been cancelled and re-scheduled for Friday July 12 to Saturday July 13. The team camp is at Valdosta State in Georgia. Players will be invited. Not all players will participate. The camp is designed for the varsity players, but some of the younger players will be invited. Your player will let you know if they are invited. Costs will be communicated soon.

Summer conditioning continues for both returning and incoming players. The players are off the week of July 4th and the week of July 22nd.
We will be attempting to put together a “team building” trip for the players. More to come on that once it is decided what the event will be. This is an opportunity for the players to have fun together.

Booster Meeting June 3, 2019 7:00p

Sorry for the late notice. There is a booster club meeting tonight in the portable behind the gym. We will begin at 7:00p and will discussing the summer scheduling, planning and fundraising. Please attempt to make the meeting. Parent involvement is necessary and encouraged to provide success to our players and the program.

Our VSU team camp scheduled for the week starting June 17 is canceled and will be rescheduled to July. More info to come.

Important News for the Coming Week



Below is the Sign Up Genius for pre-game meal. We will not need volunteers for concessions as Relish will be handing that for us this week.

If you know any parents or players that have not signed up on our website please tell them to do so quickly as we are going to stop sending out emails and only use the website to send out information.

Thank you to the parents that attended our last booster meeting. As boosters, we would like to see more parents attending and becoming a part of your son’s experience while at Buchholz. We are asking anyone that is interested in taking over concessions attend the next meeting. We are currently giving away half of our profits to Wrestling which is about $8,000-$9,000 a season. If we can get more parent involvement we could keep 100% of the profits for the program. The more involvement we have from parents, the better we can serve the needs of the players. The next booster meeting will be June 3, 2018 at 7:00pm. PLEASE COME JOIN US!

Summer Fees are due: ($125.00) June 3, 2019
Fair Share (1st Payment $150.00) is currently due.

Although the website will keep you informed of practice times and schedules, please keep in mind that times can change without ample notice to have the website changed. Please communicate with your son as they should know of any changes to the practice schedule made by the coaching staff.
