A summary of this past Monday’s Booster is as follows:

There will be a Coach’s Clinic Next Tuesday, 7/16. Middle School coaches, other league coaches will attend. Expectation is that about 30+ coaches will be present. The clinic will occur during normal work out times at the school.

As previously noted, the team camp has been cancelled this year.

Summer Work out will end next Thursday 7/18. The players will have the following week off and will return for practice on 7/29

JV practice will start on 7/31 The calendar has been updated with the schedule for JV. Please check with your player to make sure changes have not occurred to the times on the schedule.

Varsity practice times will be uploaded to the calendar within the next couple of days. Keep checking back.

As everyone is aware, we have started our fund raising with the flip cause link. Please email and forward the link to friends, family, and co-workers. Any little amount helps! This is our largest fund raiser for the year. Everyone’s involvement is critical.

8/10/2019 we will be selling BBQ Ribs (slabs) and Chicken. More information to come on this. There will be pre-ordering available once the details are worked out. This food is amazing. You can just stop by and pick up your order and enjoy the rest of the day.

Team building. The team will have fun after work outs this Thursday, and we are attempting a get together for the players for next week as well. More information to come on that in the next couple of days.

At tonight’s Booster Meeting is was announced that there was a case of the Mumps confirmed with a player. There is actually confirmed cases in town at UF and other locations, but we wanted parents to be aware. At BHS, we strive to make sure we keep lockers, locker rooms, and areas the players us as clean as we can, but we also ask that players take a part in helping some of the issues that potentially can arise in these situations. Please make sure the players are cleaning their equipment. Pads, helmets, lockers, clothes, etc. It is important that players wash their hands as well. It would be a good idea if your player kept wipes in their locker to wipe off items on a daily basis and bring items home to be washed. (Don’t leave dirty clothing items in their lockers)

Right now, players will not be sharing water bottles and we are switching to the use of disposable cups.

The football boosters will have a meeting tomorrow night, Monday July 9, 2019 at 7:00pm in the portable behind the gym. If this portable is not available, we will move to the coaching offices in the locker room. Please come out and be a part of the plans for the remaining summer work outs and the upcoming season.
