Good Evening Bobcats

Its finally here! The start to this years football season. Our Varsity Bobcats will be heading to Zephyrhills this Friday, August 20th at 7pm to take on Zephyrhills Christian in the Kick Off Classic. Tickets will be sold at the gate and not through GoFan. I will be sending out a sign up tomorrow to help with pregame meal. Can’t wait to see our boys back on the gridiron!

Hi Parents,

As most of you are aware we had one varsity player contract the Covid -19 virus and unfortunately it was within 48 hrs of our Saturday practice. Only one player on the team is sick but quite a few players have been contact traced and will be quarantining for 7 days because they were all together practicing on Saturday. Today we were also notified we have one JV player that has also contracted the virus and 5 players were contact traced as well. So only 2 players are actually sick but many are quarantining due to contact tracing.

We had a few parents with questions regarding the vaccine. We want to be clear that Coach Whittemore, Coach Kade nor any of the assistant coaches have stated that a player MUST be vaccinated to play. This week Coach Whittemore pulled up some JV players to practice with varsity because of the loss of so many through contact tracing but only pulled up those that were fully vaccinated. He did not want to spread the virus between the teams. If your son is fully vaccinated he will not be contact traced if any player/student becomes ill.

Your son should have given you a card with an access code. If you do not have that card then you can use BHSfoot21 as the access code but you will have to scroll through all the photos to find your son’s pictures. The varsity team is in the gold jerseys and the JV are wearing black. Let me know if you have any questions.

The JV team will have a 45 minute study hall directly after school and then begin their practice after that. Coach Kade said practice will end around 6(ish) each day.
